ShoreMeter is a distance from shore app for small boats, speedboats and RIBs. It answers a simple question that skippers often estimate by eye: how far is your boat from the nearest coastline? The app combines GPS position with offline coastline data to show coastline distance, boat speed in knots, GPS accuracy and a clear planing status based on your selected rule settings. It is an informational safety aid — not a navigation app and not a legal instrument.

A live GPS accuracy indicator helps you judge how reliable the current distance and speed readings are under real conditions.
When your speed and distance indicate that planing is not allowed, ShoreMeter can show a visual warning and play an alert sound so you notice before it becomes a problem.
